Firefox aims for a Guinness World Record on June 17th!
Firefox 3 is looming in the distance with tens of thousands of fixes and new features, so it surely will be a nice upgrade from 2.x and lower versions. Now Mozilla asks everyone to help them set a new Guiness World Record; most software downloaded in 24 hours. To do this, you’ll need to download a copy of Firefox 3 on the download day. You can throw up a Firefox party at your school or workplace, collect pledges, and invite people to social networking groups at places like MySpace and Facebook. More info on getting involved.
So far, a nice number of 945,676 1,083,334 people all around the world have promised to download Firefox 3 when it’s time. Want to make a promise? Do it now.
